HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. It's the system used to regulate temperature, airflow, and
indoor air quality in buildings.
A central air conditioner comes in two main types: split systems and packaged units. Both are designed to cool
your entire home efficiently.
In a split system, the condenser and compressor
are outside, while the evaporator is indoors. A packaged unit combines all components in one outdoor cabinet, often placed on
a roof or concrete slab.
The system draws indoor air through return ducts, filters it,
cools it via the evaporator coil, and then circulates it back
through supply ducts. This cycle ensures consistent, filtered
cool air.
We recommend checking your filters every 3 months and replacing
them as needed. Dirty filters reduce air quality and strain your
system.
Annual maintenance is recommended to ensure optimal performance
and extend the life of your unit, which typically lasts 15–25
years.
Sizing depends on the layout and square footage of your home. We
offer free consultations to help determine the right system for
your needs.
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It measures cooling efficiency — the higher the SEER, the
more efficient your air conditioner.
We recommend the “Auto” setting. This ensures the fan runs only
during heating or cooling cycles, saving energy and reducing
wear.
